Job summary:

• The Iron Technician III provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components of valves.

Additional Information:

• Starting Pay: $27.10/Hour. Can be adjusted with experience.
  
• Schedule:Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM currently working 6:00 AM 5:00 PM with some weekends. Schedule may change to a rotating schedule in the future.
  
• Overtime based on business need
  
• Relocation is not available for this position

What you will do:

• At SPM Oil & Gas our primaryobjectiveis to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service

• Processincoming gate valve start to to accept equipment from delivery recommission equipment load equipment for delivery complete all associate paperwork perform quality check and manage inventory (without supervision)

• Understand customer requirements throughout the entire refurbishment of pressure control productto produce high quality product
• Ability to perform final inspection
• Ability to mentor and train fellow technicians in the refurbishment process
• Demonstrate leadership skills

• Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture

• Performadditionalduties as assigned

What you will have:

• One to two yearsrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Demonstrate consistency accountability reliability and solid work ethic

• Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment
• Experience with FC style and FLS style gate valves

Top Candidates will have :

• Ability tooperatehand tools such ashammers screw drivers hydraulic torque wrenches and additional specialty tools including micrometers
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Have a clean driving record which generally means:
  • No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.
  • No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

• Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus

• Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

• Occasionally exposed to high precarious places and vibration

• Noise Level: Moderate

Summary Pay Range:

$27.10 - $36.35
