Key Job Details – Cardiac Surgical Technologist

• Location: Detroit, MI 48236 – Access to Michigan healthcare jobs in a city known for its world-class museums, diverse dining, and scenic neighborhoods.
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Operating Room (Cardiac OR)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• Shifts: Flexible scheduling: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s, all starting at 6:00 AM
• Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed
• On-Call Requirement: 24 hours of call per month plus one weekend per month
• Competitive Compensation: $29–$37/hr (hourly pay rate range); estimated weekly salary $2070–$2130

Surgical Technologist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent cardiac OR experience in a hospital setting
• Proven cardiac scrub experience, including CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) procedures
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Cardiac OR Surgical Tech Responsibilities

• Prepare and care for pre-operative cardiac surgery patients in the operating room
• Perform technical duties during cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and other open-heart surgeries
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are available and functioning
• Collaborate with surgeons, perioperative nurses, and anesthesia providers to deliver high-quality patient care
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
