SUMMARY: The Gage and Fixtures Engineer will be viewed as the lead on sourcing the required holding fixtures and check fixtures. They will be responsible for the design and build reviews with the customer, coordinating the certification and validation activities, and conducting the final buyoff, and delivery of the fixtures to their home line, in support of corporate cost and timing targets

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Writing the Gage and Fixture RFQ

· Performing technical reviews for Gage shop source selection

· Confirming the Gage shop has the required 3D part data and the OKTT GD&T

· Coordinating the Concept, Design and Build review activities for the work being sourced

· Reviewing Gage and Fixture Certification reports, GR, GR&R, and part layout data

· Uploading and maintaining all relevant Gage and Fixture project documentation to JVIS TeamCenter

· Assisting with Root Cause and Issue Resolution to achieve Customer final buyoff

· Coordinating with all internal JVIS Groups in a cross-functional role

· Providing support to multiple domestic and international JVIS production locations

· Ability to work overtime / evenings as required

· Ability to travel when necessary. Typical travel includes infrequent day and overnight support at the Michigan-based JVIS production locations along with a possibility of some international travel (valid Passport and driver’s license is required)

· Maintaining compliance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001

Coordinating and maintaining all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performing other related duties and job assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 4-year Engineering or Technical degree. 2 – 5 years Gage and Fixtures experience. 2 – 5 years Dimensional Management experience. 5 – 10 years Engineering or Manufacturing experience. Experienced in Dimensional data analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Experienced with supporting CMM, blue light scanners, or laser tracker equipment. Strong Project Management Skills. Strong presentation and communication skills. Proficient in Statistical and Root Cause Analysis. Proficient in office and engineering software such as, but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, UG, CATIA
