Now Hiring: General Manager(Working) Baker Chevrolet Buick of Coopersville Baker Chevrolet Buick of Coopersville is seeking a Working General Manager with a strong background in variable operations to lead our dealership to the next level. This is not a desk job. We want someone who is on the floor, working deals, coaching the team, and ensuring every customer gets the management attention they deserve — a personal hello and a handshake on the way in, and a thank-you on the way out. What We’re Looking For: * A hands-on leader with proven success in variable operations (sales, F&I, used cars, gross performance) * Experience in General Motors retail is required * Willingness to be present on the floor daily, driving sales processes and profitability * A coach and mentor who can hold the team accountable while growing their skills and confidence * A disciplined leader who thrives on building a winning culture built on execution, energy, and customer-first service Responsibilities: * Work deals directly with the sales team to maximize gross and close rates * Lead and inspect processes in sales, F&I, and used vehicle management * Ensure every customer interaction includes a manager’s personal involvement * Build, train, and motivate a high-performance team through accountability and mentorship * Drive dealership profitability with a laser focus on volume, gross, and penetration * Partner with service and fixed ops leadership but maintain heavy emphasis on variable The Ideal Candidate: * Proven track record of GM retail leadership success * Strong knowledge of sales processes, F&I performance, and inventory management * Natural closer with the ability to structure deals and push for profitability * A true working GM — not afraid to get on the desk, meet customers, and lead by example * High-energy leader with the drive, discipline, and passion to win every day At Baker Chevrolet Buick of Coopersville, we believe leadership is action.
