Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects.
• Obtain and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials and services.
• Develop and present detailed cost proposals to internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production departments to refine estimates and project scope.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project outcomes for future reference.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in estimating or a related financial/technical role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, labor, and overhead costing principles.
• Proficiency with estimating software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with specific CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design review and data extraction.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or demonstrated experience in process optimization.
• Background in supply chain management or procurement, particularly for manufacturing materials.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience.
