Bookkeeper / Office Manager | East Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking Bookkeeper / Office Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, maintain employee records, and administer benefits programs.
- Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and assist with month-end financial close.
- Oversee office operations, including supply management, vendor relations, and facility coordination.
- Support manufacturing operations by accurately tracking inventory data and job costing expenses.
- Prepare basic financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for management review.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the leadership team and manage HR-related documentation.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in full-cycle bookkeeping (A/P, A/R, GL, bank reconciliations).
- Demonstrated expertise with QuickBooks Desktop/Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing accounting principles, including inventory and COGS.
- Proven experience in office administration, vendor relations, and clerical support.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor, NetSuite).
- Inventory management or job costing experience.
- HR support experience (e.g., onboarding, benefits administration).
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and reporting.
- Experience coordinating facility maintenance or managing office/plant vendors.
