Position Overview
"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced Mobile Application Developer to design, develop, and support mobile applications that enable secure, real-time access to public safety and operational services across multiple mobile platforms. This role involves building and integrating mobile solutions with backend systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
Install and configure a proof-of-concept (POC) TAK Server within a secure enterprise server environment
Integrate the TAK Server with mobile applications to enable real-time user location visibility within defined user groups
Integrate the TAK Server with a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to support:
Live incident data with call details and geographic locations
Live unit statuses
Live unit location tracking
Enable display of CAD data within:
ATAK on Android
TAK-aware applications on iOS
Ensure all mobile and backend connections are:
Secure
Reliable
Compliant with CJIS security standards
Assist with securing the mobile application environment using enterprise identity and access management solutions (e.g., SSO/MFA)
Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and support system enhancements
Technical Environment
Mobile Platforms: iOS (Swift, Objective-C), Android (Kotlin, Java)
Development Tools: Xcode, Android Studio
Cross-Platform Frameworks: React Native, Flutter, Xamarin
Backend & APIs: RESTful APIs, JSON
Version Control: Git
Methodologies: Agile / Scrum
UI/UX: Mobile-first design principles
Deployment: App Store and Google Play submission processes
Monitoring & Analytics: Firebase, Crashlytics or similar tools
Testing: Appium, Espresso, and other mobile testing frameworks
Qualifications
Proven experience developing and supporting mobile applications on iOS and Android
Strong understanding of mobile security best practices
Experience integrating mobile applications with backend systems and real-time data feeds
Familiarity with public safety, CAD, or mission-critical systems is a strong plus
Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines
