Position Overview
Acron Aviation is seeking a detail‐oriented and analytical Production Planner to support manufacturing operations within a highly regulated aerospace environment. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing production schedules that align with customer demand, material availability, and capacity constraints. The Production Planner will work cross‐functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, and procurement teams to ensure on‐time delivery and efficient production execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed production schedules to support build‐to‐order and project‐based manufacturing
- Plan and release manufacturing work orders in alignment with master production schedules and customer commitments
- Monitor material availability, capacity, and lead times to proactively identify and mitigate schedule risks
- Collaborate closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely material delivery and resolve shortages
- Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems, including lead times, routings, lot sizes, and planning parameters
- Track production progress, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to meet schedule and delivery targets
- Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to incorporate engineering changes, rework, and compliance requirements into production plans
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on schedule adherence, throughput, and inventory optimization
- Prepare and present production status reports, KPIs, and planning metrics to operations leadership
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, or scheduling within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, electronics, or similarly regulated industries
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
- Ability to manage complex schedules across multiple programs or product lines
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‐solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross‐functionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data‐driven reporting
Preferred / Nice‐to‐Have Qualifications
- Experience with build‐to‐order, engineer‐to‐order, or project‐based manufacturing
- APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP)
- Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and compliance requirements (AS9100, ISO)
- Experience working in a fast‐paced, high‐mix, low‐volume manufacturing environment
