Job Title: Plastics Process Technician

Shift 2nd 3 PM to 11 PM

Pay $28 / hr

Reports to: Shift Supervisor/Production Manager

Job Summary for our Plastics Process Technician

In this role the Process Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all machines are running, and all processes are in control and running to standard at all times. Our client is looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and able to work independently. This position is for a large plastics manufacturer for the automotive, RV, and office furniture industries. Once your contract is completed with Workbox Staffing, you will be hired permanently!

Key Responsibilities for Plastics Process Technician

- Set up, start up, and troubleshoot injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and robotics

- Monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.) to ensure consistent part quality

- Perform mold changes and maintain documentation of process parameters

- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for molding issues

- Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to meet production goals

- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all company safety standards

- Document process changes and maintain accurate records

Requirements for Plastics Process Technician

- 2+ years of experience in plastics processing or injection molding

- Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, and related equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and process sheets

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

-High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus

Preferred Qualifications for Plastics Process Technician

- Experience with robotics and automation

- Knowledge of quality control procedures and statistical process control

- Certification in injection molding or plastics processing
