The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Road Construction Flagger to work at a company located in the Ann Arbor, MI area!

Position Location

The JobSquad Solutions Team is now hiring Seasonal Road Construction Flaggers to work statewide across Michigan.

This position runs through mid-November or December, making it the perfect opportunity to earn weekly pay and extra cash for your Thanksgiving and Christmas plans!

Statewide assignments from your home office (Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Jackson, or Mount Pleasant)

Pay/hours for position

Pay Rates (based on one-way travel distance from home office):

• 0–50 miles: $19.00/hr
• 51–80 miles: $20.00/hr
• 81–99 miles: $21.00/hr
• 100+ miles: $26.00/hr

* We do not provide reimbursement for gas, travel time, or mileage. Your hourly pay rate is determined by the distance from your home office to the job site, calculated using the shortest GPS route.

Requirements of position

1. Valid Driver’s License
2. Reliable personal vehicle (must stay on site)
3. Proof of auto insurance (with your name listed)
4. Ability to stand and work outdoors in cold, wind, rain, or sun.
5. Full-day availability from sunrise to sunset (including weekends)
6. No OWI or DUI in the last 5 years
7. Willingness to travel up to 100+ miles one way.

No diploma or prior experience required! We provide full training and all essential safety gear!

Responsibilities of position

As a Flagger, you’re the guardian of the work zone! Keeping crews and drivers safe as traffic moves through active construction sites.

1. Control the flow of traffic using signs, paddles, and hand signals.
2. Communicate with other flaggers and supervisors via radio.
3. Stay alert and focused for everyone’s safety.
4. Breaks are coordinated with your site lead when conditions allow.

Equipment Provided:

1. MDOT Class 3 Safety Vest
2. Hard Hat
3. Clear & Tinted Safety Glasses
4. Headlamp
5. 2-Way Radio (bring your own batteries)
6. Poncho
7. Signs & Poles

Required Clothing: Steel-toed boots, jeans or durable work pants, and a t-shirt or long-sleeve (no shorts or sweatpants).
