Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join our team and support our mission of designing, building, and maintaining custom chemical processing systems for chlorine-based and water-treatment applications. This role involves servicing, maintaining, repairing, and installing OEM chemical equipment while providing exceptional customer service and support.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, repair, and install OEM chemical equipment.

• Travel to customer sites both domestically and internationally approximately 3 out of 4 weeks, primarily Monday through Thursday.

• Assist customers with troubleshooting, parts selection, instrument programming, and calibration via phone, computer, or on-site.

• Promote sales by advising clients on machine updates and add-ons during site visits.

• Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and working with Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.

• Ability to program PLCs (not necessarily from scratch).

• Experience in assembling electrical control panels.

• Capability to read and interpret schematics.

• Willingness to travel extensively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in a related field.

• Experience with chemical processing equipment.

• Understanding of control loops.

Work Environment

The work environment includes significant travel, with the option to use a company card or personal card for travel expenses, offering the benefit of accumulating mileage and hotel/plane points. When not traveling, the role is based on-site and involves collaboration with a team of eight. The busy season is during winter, and the role provides an opportunity to gain experience working with cutting-edge OEM chemical equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $57.69/hr.
