MMI Engineered Solutions is growing and looking for driven Mold Setters to join our team at our advanced manufacturing facility in Saline, Michigan. We have openings on multiple shifts , offering flexibility to fit your lifestyle.

As a Mold Setter, you'll be responsible for installing and setting up molds, starting up machines according to process specifications, and ensuring quality production from start to finish. You'll collaborate with your shift team to maintain smooth operations and deliver high-quality parts on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set molds and configure machines according to process guidelines

• Start up jobs, verify first-run quality, and hand off to operators

• Monitor process parameters to ensure consistent part quality

• Coordinate with setup team to prepare tools and equipment for upcoming jobs

• Tear down and store molds and equipment properly after job completion

Qualifications:

• We're looking for candidates with 2-5 years of injection molding experience, but are open to strong learners with a solid foundation

• Strong troubleshooting and setup skills

• Proven ability to read and follow technical instructions and documentation

• Solid teamwork, communication, and time management skills

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

• Basic math and computer literacy (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Manufacturing environment that may be hot, noisy, dirty.

• Substantial physical effort - constant walking in the manufacturing area.

• Stop mold installation if there is a quality issue with the mold or if installation presents a safety concern

Schedule: Monday through Wednesday 6-hour shifts, alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday 12-hour shifts. Guaranteed 2 days off per week!
