Medical Assistant

Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Shift: 8-5 Mon-Fri

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient intake, vital signs, and history documentation in the EHR (Epic preferred).
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer and record medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Collect and process lab specimens; perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Coordinate referrals, appointments, and insurance pre-authorizations.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and clinic procedures.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance in all clinical areas.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Medical Assistant.
• Education: Graduate of an MA program or LPN/EMT/military medical training with recent clinical experience.
• Certification: Current BLS (AHA) required; CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and EHR proficiency (Epic experience a plus).
