Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee a team of 15-20 housekeepers at a large automotive factory. The role involves managing housekeeping operations across one or more buildings, depending on their size, and ensuring cleanliness in restrooms, offices, and trash areas. The supervisor will lead the team effectively, hold members accountable, and address any union-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of 15-20 housekeepers.
• Oversee general housekeeping, including floor scrubbing, restroom maintenance, office cleanliness, and trash management.
• Manage team operations in one or more buildings on campus.
• Hold team members accountable and address union-related issues.
• Operate and troubleshoot cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaners.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience in janitorial or housekeeping supervision within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with UAW personnel management.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting cleaning equipment.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, Teams, and data entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience creating spreadsheets.
• Union experience within a hospital or other unionized settings for janitors or housekeepers is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
