As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our shop. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills, a proven track record in a similar role, and a passion for driving efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all shop staff including but not limited to service technicians, lot porters, and admins
  • Understand individual contributors productivity, efficiency, and capabilities
  • Attend and engage in weekly service-related meetings to ensure the team is on track to hit goals
  • Assign repair orders based on technician skill set
  • Ensure efficiency and productivity goals are tracking on an individual and team basis
  • Manage customer experience as needed
  • Manage and monitor P & L, identifying revenue and labor hours opportunities
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams within the dealership
  • Assist employees with tools they need to be successful in their roles
  • Assist service manager as needed to ensure department alignment on daily goals
  • Attend and engage in weekly service-related meetings to ensure the team is on track to hit goals
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations within shop and maintain safety protocols to create a secure working environment

what you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry, with a preference for RV or automotive manufacturing
  • Technical knowledge of RV's is a plus
  • Experience driving a forklift is a plus
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have Saturday availability
  • Strong leadership, team management, and time management skills
  • Find innovative ways to improve customer experience
  • Experience in managing a P & L and forecasting goals
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in manufacturing and operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Value in all interactions with customers and co-workers

Expected Results:

  • Technician productivity and efficiency consistently meet or exceed established benchmarks

  • Improved labor hours per repair order through effective skill-based work assignment

  • Positive trend in departmental gross profit driven by optimized labor utilization and cost control

  • Reduction in repair cycle time and backlog, improving overall shop throughput

  • Increased customer satisfaction scores and reduced service-related complaints or escalations

  • Strong attendance, engagement, and participation in weekly service meetings with clear action follow-through

  • Consistent adherence to health and safety standards with zero preventable safety incidents

  • Improved employee retention and skill development within the service department

  • Clear visibility into individual and team performance metrics, enabling proactive management decisions

  • Strong cross-department collaboration resulting in fewer operational bottlenecks and rework

Resources:

  • Access to dealership management systems (DMS), scheduling, and productivity tracking tools

  • Established performance metrics, reporting dashboards, and financial (P&L) reporting

  • Trained service technicians, porters, and administrative support staff

  • Shop equipment, diagnostic tools, and technology required to perform repairs efficiently

  • Health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance training

  • Support from Service Manager, Fixed Operations leadership, and cross-functional dealership teams

  • Customer experience standards, processes, and escalation protocols
