Step into a rewarding part-time role supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity focuses on providing overflow SLP services to two elementary buildings with existing SLP staff and offers a collaborative atmosphere, ideal for professionals passionate about helping young learners develop their communication skills.

Starting in mid-August 2026 and continuing through mid-June 2027, you'll benefit from a structured, school-year schedule three days a week during standard school hours (8:44 AM - 3:40 PM). This position allows you to focus your expertise at both Schickler and Lynch elementary sites, ensuring quality intervention and IEP delivery for students requiring specialized attention.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Experience working in school settings preferred
• Michigan SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong understanding of elementary school-age communication needs
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage caseloads efficiently across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with school team goals
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per district requirements
• Participate actively in school meetings and parent conferences when necessary
