Step Into the Shop

Imagine powering up a 48”–100” Blanchard grinder, reviewing a print, and mapping out the grind path that turns a heavy plate into a precision-flat component. As our Precision Blanchard Grinding Specialist, you’ll blend planning, setup, and hands-on machining to meet exacting customer specs—all while collaborating with a team that values safety, communication, and craftsmanship. This is a full-time role with 12-hour day & night shifts available.

Your Impact

You’ll own the process from blueprint to final inspection:

• Plan and execute rotary surface grinding operations to achieve tolerance and finish targets.
• Set up and dial in Blanchard equipment; fine-tune machine settings to hold specifications.
• Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and scales; record and communicate results.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and grind instructions to confirm part requirements.
• Stage and secure parts on magnetic tables using chucks, clamps, and supports to avoid distortion, including complex multi-part setups.
• Use SPC/statistical tools to monitor processes and ensure consistent quality.
• Operate overhead and jib cranes to load/unload and position workpieces safely; use forklifts as needed.
• Maintain coolant and lubrication levels and keep your area clean and orderly.
• Contribute to other assigned tasks that keep the operation running smoothly.
