Financial Analyst

Hybrid Role: This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.
Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary
Responsible for various business financial processes, including financial planning, forecasting, and consolidating detailed financial budgets. Reports and analyzes business performance and performs system maintenance. Scope and number of processes may vary depending on team.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for business financial processes, including financial planning, forecasting, and consolidating detailed financial budgets.
- Analyzes data and develops conclusions.
- Organizes work independently and works in teams.
- Generates reports from a variety of corporate system applications.
- This position may require FERC gas training.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Liberal Arts
- Three years of accounting experience in business, public accounting, or financial systems
Other Qualifications
Preferred
- Specialization in Accounting, Finance or Technical Discipline (CPA, CMA or MBA)
- ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
- Electical knowledge preferred.
Other Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop conclusions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
- Proficient verbal, nonverbal, written and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work independently and to work in teams
- PC Proficiency, including experience with MS Office Products.
