Warehouse Forklift

Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: $18-20/hr

Shift: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, and Weekend Shift all available

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse while following all safety protocols and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Load and unload trucks, move products to designated storage areas
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete necessary documentation
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including manual material handling
• Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• Previous forklift operation experience in a warehouse or industrial setting required
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain if needed)
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
• Dependable with a strong attendance record
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (e.g., temperature, noise)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems
• Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, reach truck, pallet jack)
