Castor Engineering is seeking a Director of Operations to lead day-to-day execution and strengthen operational performance across the organization.
Position SummaryThe Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the operational functions that drive efficiency, quality, and consistent delivery. This role partners with cross-functional leaders to align priorities, improve processes, and ensure the organization runs smoothly and effectively.
In a Hybrid environment in Birmingham, MI, the Director of Operations will bring strong leadership, operational discipline, and a continuous-improvement mindset to optimize performance, manage resources, and support sustainable growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate core operational activities to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes across teams.
Develop and improve operational processes, workflows, and performance metrics to increase efficiency and accountability.
Partner with internal stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and measurable results.
Manage operational planning, resource allocation, and workflow execution to support business objectives.
Monitor performance trends and implement continuous improvements to strengthen service delivery and operational consistency.
Proven experience in operations leadership, program management, or a related operational role with measurable results.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing demands, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into practical operational improvements.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
Commitment to high standards, process discipline, and continuous improvement.
Experience operating in consulting or service-based environments where delivery quality and client-facing outcomes are critical.
Background in scaling processes and teams, improving operational maturity, and establishing repeatable best practices.
Experience implementing performance management approaches, dashboards, and operational reporting routines.
Familiarity with governance and operational risk considerations to support reliable execution.
Annual salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00
