Quality Inspector

SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $23 to $30 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

Summary

Redwire Defense Tech isseekingaQualityInspector to join our team. TheQualityInspector should have experience withSolid OxideFuel Cells (SOFC)andsystemsubcomponentsand be able to work with the team to ensure an outstanding final product.

Responsibilities

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assignedotherduties.

• Perform inspections (in-process and final)on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells, systemsubcomponents,batteriesandassemblies (mechanical, electrical).
• Document production and test anomaliesin accordance withprescribed procedures and process asrequired
• Communicate and help resolve quality related issues
• Process non-conforming product
• Perform receiving and/or final inspection to assure product compliance with quality assurance standards and applicable specifications
• Read and interpret released drawings, engineering change orders,assemblyand inspection instructions
• When directed perform audits of specific areas,processesand procedures
• Use standard electrical and mechanical inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, mechanicalgaugesand other measuring devices
• Maintain records of rejected/accepted material,maintaindatabases for analysis of nonconformities
• Familiarity with calibration processes and documentation
• Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or higher
• 2+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes
• Demonstrated understandingof inspection processes
• experienceusingengineering drawings and wiring schematics
• knowledge and experience in aerospace standards AS9100, ISO-9001(preferred)
• The abilityto inspect a product or system to ensure that it is according to specifications and requirements.
• Read andcomprehendstandard blueprints,machine, and process drawings.
• Use equipment to test performance and operation.
• Measure voltage, current,resistanceor other electrical characteristics by using electrical measuring equipment such as multimeters, voltmeters, and ammeters.
• Use various techniques to ensurethe productquality is respecting the quality standards and specifications. Oversee defects,packagingandsend backsof products to different production departments.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
