Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Regional CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 2 years of experience with driving a 53 ft. tractor trailer. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism while transporting goods across designated routes.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Perform routine inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport
- Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks while on the road
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A), valid DOT med card
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of load unloading procedures and best practices for securing cargo.
- Familiarity with route driving techniques for efficient navigation.
- Ability to operate refrigerated trailers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatch and clients.
