Galavant Spirits is a brand new distillery and cafe in the Morningside neighborhood of Detroit looking for our opening staff.
We are seeking candidates with food and drink service experience to join us in providing outstanding customer experiences and upholding high standards of food and beverage quality. Candidates with a working knowledge of food, spirits, and cocktails preferred but we are willing to teach enthusiastic prospects. Cross training between kitchen and FOH positions will be encouraged.
Counter Service Position:
- Manage customer service for pick up and delivery food orders
- Communicate with kitchen regarding food orders
- Ring up all retail shop orders, including merch and bottles of spirits
- Be able to answer customer inquiries about food and beverage items including allergens
- Be able to lead customers through spirits tastings
- Maintain cleanliness of retail area
Qualifications:
- Some restaurant or cafe experience including alcohol service strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining high customer service standards
- Must be able to move around the retail area to compile orders
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Flexible schedule including weekends
Compensation and Benefits:
- $18 / hr base pay plus shared tips
