IT Deployment Manager - Grand Rapids MI

The IT Deployment Manager leads the Professional Services Deployment Team responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing client hardware and simple technology projects. These include deploying laptops, desktops, and basic networking devices for existing clients, new prospects, and ad hoc solutions sold through the sales process. This role oversees project delivery from start to finish, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards are met while maintaining strong client relationships and clear communication. The IT Deployment Manager uses ConnectWise to manage project plans, documentation, and communication and ensures all projects align with Applied Innovation’s delivery standards. The IT Deployment Manager provides daily leadership and direction to Professional Services Engineers in Michigan and Indiana, promoting collaboration, consistency, and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Deployment Team in planning, execution, and delivery of all deployment projects.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the Professional Services Engineers.
- Create and maintain project plans in ConnectWise, customizing templates as needed.
- Manage all aspects of project delivery, scope, timeline, budget, and quality, to ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintain regular client communication throughout project life cycles, ensuring satisfaction and alignment.
- Collaborate with internal teams including vCIOs, Sales, Service, PMO, and Administration for smooth rollouts and integrations.
- Develop, document, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and reduce project cycle time.
- Track and report project status, issues, and metrics to management.
- Serve as the operational lead for new product or service deployments, addressing installation, service integration, and performance considerations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and scalability within the team and overall deployment operations.
- Support pre-sales meetings as needed, assisting with technical input and delivery expectations.
- Develop support materials such as SOPs, technical bulletins, and knowledge base content.
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Increase customer satisfaction and retention.
- Reduce overall deployment lifecycle time.
- Build scalable, repeatable, high-quality delivery processes.

- Minimum three (3) years of experience in IT project coordination, IT service management, deployment management, or professional services.
- Experience using ConnectWise or similar PSA/project management platforms preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware deployment and basic network setup.
- Technical Experience: Microsoft Environments (Intune / Azure AD / Autopilot); MDM; GPO; Security Baselines, BitLocker and FileVault, PowerShell, Networking Basics, Troubleshooting), strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage customer relationships effectively.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUI’s in the past 5 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2-year college degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field, preferred.
Onsite work environment based out of our Grand Rapids, MI office, with travel to client sites across Michigan and Indiana, as well as to our additional offices. Standard business hours apply, with flexibility as needed to meet project deadlines and client requirements. What We Offer
