Maintenance Technician, Up to $37/hr. - Detroit, MI
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will maintain industrial production and processing machinery.
Job duties
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on instrument controls, measuring temperatures, flows, pressures, levels, and other operating variables.
- Fabricate and build structural devices
- Repair, install and adjust industrial machinery (extruders, reactors, pelletizers, camsizers, airvey system, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose minor electrical problems such as fuses, heaters, motors, and relays.
- Assist and provide support to operators in performing daily tasks including but not limited to tool changes;
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical type equipment.
- 2+ years experience with welding, pipe fitting and instrumentation.
- 1+ years experience with electrical and plumbing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills
- Plastics experience highly desired.
