Database Engineer

TEKsystems has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA for a contract to hire:

Performance DBA Skillset

- Experience in in developing PL/SQL and optimize PL/SQL code (most important)

- Experience in application development that helps with understanding how to tune application queries.

- Experience in ORACLE 19c (such as Oracle optimizer, explain plans, SQL plans, hints, TKPROF, traces, structures).

- Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC)

- Experience in SQL and optimize queries

- Experience in in developing PL/SQL and optimize PL/SQL code

- Experience in optimizing database structures (indexes, Primary/Foreign keys, tables structures)

- Some Java experience but not required

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- SQLPLUS and PL/SQL.

- Knowledge of procedure/packages/triggers.

- Knowledge of SQL profiles and baselines.

- Oracle Scripting in Unix a plus

- SQLDeveloper

- Experience in OEM

- Using ASH and AWR reports (or even manually generating ASH and AWR reports)

- Monitoring (or even monitoring with scripts)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
