Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling and fixtures.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and obtain quality approvals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate setup documentation and logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards during setups.
• Optimize machine performance and cycle times during setup.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably with machine setup.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various tools and machinery.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming or HMI configuration
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
• Basic welding or machining skills for fixture modification/repair
• Forklift certification or experience with overhead cranes
