What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and/or designated access points, verify credentials and authorized access, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Document visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle activity, maintain required logs and reports, and communicate access-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, unusual activity, and/or access-related issues.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for conditions that may require a security-related response or follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
