A day in the life.
The Senior Ancillary Benefits Analyst has a high level of experience with ancillary insurance products and analysis. By utilizing highly developed technical and analytical skills, the Sr. Ancillary BA works independently with very limited direction, demonstrates a high level of accuracy and proactively develops / improves departmental work product. The Sr. Ancillary BA has group ancillary experience projecting benefits costs, analyzing proposals and evaluating benefit provisions. The Sr. Ancillary BA has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrates proficiency with computer tools.
The Sr. Ancillary BA works on high complexity cases, constructs presentations and executive summaries for the client team. The Sr. Ancillary BA operates somewhat independently with minimal direction. The Sr. Ancillary BA is expected to take ownership of the projects they are working on, be proactive in the development of work and make day-to-day decisions without guidance. The Sr. Ancillary BA is proactive in recommending the best alternative for the client to the client teams.
This role has the ability to work out of any of our Michigan offices in Troy, Livonia, and Grand Rapids.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics or other related area preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the healthcare benefits industry working for a group, insurance carrier, broker or general agency preferred.
- Two years’ experience as an analyst at MMA preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to follow directions, be detailed and resourceful.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure (tight deadlines & juggling many projects).
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
