Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Miller Landscape Inc. 815 Brown Rd. Orion Twps., MI. 48359
Position Type: Full-time, Year-round
Shift: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
Starting Pay: $60K per year, depending on verifiable experience/skill level.

We are a dynamic, full-service landscape company offering a variety of landscape, lawn maintenance, hardscape projects, and snow removal services. Our fleet includes a wide range of landscape equipment, utility vehicles, trailers, and machinery. We are looking to add a skilled Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to our team to ensure our equipment and vehicles are performing at their best year-round.
Job Summary:
The Fleet Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for overseeing the performance, maintenance, and repair of our fleet vehicles, large and small production machinery, and equipment, including diesel. This is a full-time, year-round position, offering an opportunity to work with diverse equipment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services on machines and vehicles.
- Troubleshoot, prioritize, and repair daily equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct recurring maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, fluid checks, tire pressure adjustments).
- Utilize fleet maintenance software to track daily inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance.
- Order and install replacement parts as necessary.
- Diagnose and repair unexpected breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked shop area.
- Coordinate with management to schedule regular maintenance and repairs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and managers.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- 2-3 years of mechanical or maintenance experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with landscape and outdoor power equipment.
· Ability to read manuals/schematics to identify and order correct parts.
