Remote Case Management Manager (LEGAL)

Better Life Plans is a rapidly growing company committed to helping clients navigate debt-related legal challenges with professionalism, empathy, and integrity. The Case Management Manager will directly oversee a team of Case Management Supervisors and indirectly manage all the corresponding Case Managers. They will be responsible for tracking and enforcing company policies and procedures within their department. They will review and evaluate Supervisors' and Case Managers’ performance and guide the necessary action. This Manager will also assist with a variety of projects to help facilitate BLP’s continued growth. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in legal operations, team leadership, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Case Management department.
  • Assist with establishing, executing, and overseeing department quarterly goals.
  • Coordinate with HR and upper management on employee concerns
  • Oversee workflow of cases and accuracy of operation expectations
  • Utilize CRM software for reporting and overseeing team’s performance.
  • Facilitate questions and escalated issues regarding lawsuits.
  • Identify training opportunities and develop training plans for supervisors and case managers.
  • Communicate process and procedure updates and reminders.
  • Hold team accountable for their actions and performance.
  • Assist with system, operation, and design improvements.
  • Address any company policy or personnel issues and escalate as needed.
  • Coordinate with involved parties regarding escalated lawsuit matters.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training.
  • Other projects assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Paralegal Certification, similar legal services degree, or 5+ years of paralegal experience
  • Minimum of 2 Years of experience in legal case management, with experience working cases through the complete life cycle of the case
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proactive in finding solutions while also using discernment when escalating issues
  • Pattern of meeting or exceeding minimum productivity requirements
  • Demonstrates ownership of work and maintains excellent quality standards
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format at a high level
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook and general knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel
  • Familiarity with navigating court websites and court records searches
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving practices
  • Familiarity with reading court documents
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team and multi-task on time-sensitive projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, internal partners, and clients.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for task management, document review, and communication (e.g., Outlook, CRM platforms, Case Management Systems).

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pre-law, Business, Communication, or another similar field
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, including E-filing
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to attorneys, courts, and other employees of the organization.
  • Experience managing a group of leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee a team in a remote working environment

Anticipated start dates available:  03/09/2026

Full Time; Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday - 9:00am - 5:30pm EST
Pay Cycle: Weekly
Annual Salary - $70,000 (FIRM)
