This Field Engineer will be supporting 100% travel projects with a strong focus on field execution, progress tracking, and document control. Responsible for tracking installation progress, material deliveries, RFIs, submittals, and change orders using tools such as Procore, Excel, SAP, and Bluebeam, while coordinating closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to resolve constructability issues, maintain accurate as-builts, and support project forecasting, safety, and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Controls & Tracking

  • Track installation progress for multiple construction scopes using Procore, Excel, and other project controls tools.

  • Support project forecasting efforts by maintaining accurate progress and scope metrics.

  • Develop and implement new progress tracking methods as required by project needs.

Material Management

  • Track construction material deliveries to site and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Complete field goods receipts using SAP software.

  • Follow up with clients regarding missing or delayed materials as required.

RFI & Constructability Support

  • Assist superintendents and subcontractors in preparing RFIs by gathering field data including dimensions, elevations, photos, and drawings.

  • Utilize Bluebeam Revu to mark up drawings and support constructability and conflict reviews.

  • Track and manage RFI status through Procore and client deviation management systems.

Document Control

  • Manage project document control through client portals and Procore, including drawings, transmittals, and internal file organization.

  • Coordinate the submission, review, and redistribution of submittals throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Upload stamped drawing packages to Procore upon receipt.

  • Ensure as-built drawings are accurately executed and properly filed for quality and turnover packages.

Change Management

  • Prepare and formally submit change orders using project logs.

  • Review change order logs in relation to project forecasts with project management and controls teams.

  • Review and reconcile updated purchase orders related to client-funded changes.

Communication & Coordination

  • Attend daily subcontractor planning meetings and communicate relevant updates to the project team.

  • Coordinate meetings with clients, engineering, and subcontractors to resolve design and constructability issues.

  • Support weekly constructability and submittal reviews with the client.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in contractor safety walkdowns as required.

  • Perform additional field-related tasks outside of typical Field Engineer responsibilities as requested.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to Enerfab’s Procore subject matter experts to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in field engineering, project coordination, or construction administration.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Procore
  • Experience in Bluebeam Revu and Primavera is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a flexible, positive attitude.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing field conditions and project needs.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This position is 100% field-based and requires willingness to travel to jobsites and remain out of town for extended durations.
  • Must be willing to work outside of a traditional 9–5 schedule, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours as project needs require.
  • Ability to climb, lift, walk long distances, and navigate stairs in an active construction environment.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and ability to read a tape measure and stick rule.
  • Ability to work in harsh environments, including hot and cold weather, dust, dirt, odors, and other industrial conditions.
  • Work sites may include limited amenities, including portable restrooms, no running water, and limited access to nearby food options.
