Engineering Manager- Operations

Position Overview:

ANDRITZ BCN is a leader in the metal forming industry, known for our innovative engineering solutions and high-quality service. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team and lead our engineering and production operations.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and production processes within our facility. This role requires a strong background in engineering and the metal forming industry, high-quality standards, and continuous improvement.

Specific Duties:

1. Operational Oversight: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the business operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
2. Engineering Leadership: Serve as a senior leader to the engineering team to help develop and implement innovative solutions to improve production processes and product quality.
3. Quality Management: Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products and services meet industry standards and customer specifications.
4. Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and develop teams across multiple departments while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
5. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Work closely with operations and management teams to be a champion for safety.
6. Budget Management: Understand and manage operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures.
7. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, engineering and operations projects, and improvement initiative s to senior management.

Critical Job Skills/Competency Expectations:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management in metal forming, manufacturing, or similar field.
3. Extensive experience in engineering and process improvement.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
6. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Proficiency using engineering and manufacturing software.
