Job Description

Day to Day:

As a Senior Full Stack Software Developer, you'll lead the design and development of a new cloud-native Unified Observability Testing platform, working primarily in Google Cloud Platform. Your day will involve architecting backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot, building and integrating APIs, and leveraging event-driven architecture with GCP services such as Pub/Sub, DataFlow, FireStore, and BigQuery. You'll also develop front-end components in React, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems. Infrastructure as code will be implemented using Terraform to maintain secure and scalable environments. Collaboration is key-you'll work closely with product managers, technical program managers, architects, developers, and site reliability engineers to define requirements and deliver production-ready solutions. As the technical lead, you'll mentor peers, review code, drive best practices, and author comprehensive technical documentation, all while guiding the team toward successful delivery of a robust, enterprise-grade platform.

$40/hr to $45/hr

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

Must have:

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience

• Full-stack focus: front-end (React or similar) and back-end (Java/Spring Boot)

• Recent experience (within last 2 years) building enterprise applications from scratch

• Not just maintaining/extending existing systems

• Expert-level Java/Spring Boot skills

• Advanced proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience with core GCP services: Pub/Sub, FireStore, BigQuery, DataFlow

• Expertise in microservices and event-driven architecture

• Proven ability to design, build, and implement distributed systems

• API design (REST) experience

• Technical leadership

• Previous experience as a tech lead or self-managing engineer

• History of creating APIs and microservices from scratch

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• At least intermediate proficiency

• Front-end development with React (or similar)

• At least intermediate proficiency

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
