HVAC Installer - Grand Rapids, MI

Job Description

We are seeking skilled sheet metal installers to join our team in the HVAC industry. The role involves fabricating and installing ductwork for new and renovation projects in commercial buildings. The successful candidate will work from blueprints to create and install ductwork on site according to construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install HVAC ductwork in commercial buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
• Work with sheet metal by bending, joining, hammering, and cutting.
• Collaborate with a team of 2-10 to complete daily installation goals.
• Use power and hand tools effectively for ductwork installation.

Essential Skills

• 3-5+ years of experience in installing HVAC ductwork.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• 1-2+ years of experience in commercial building projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to service HVAC systems and controls.
• Capability to troubleshoot problems on existing equipment.

Work Environment

This role operates on the 1st shift, starting at 6:30 or 7:00 am, depending on the assigned project. You will work on commercial and industrial construction projects at manufacturing facilities and commercial sites. The job involves working alongside other trades in active production environments, collaborating with a team to achieve installation objectives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
