General Laborer

Michigan Center, MI

3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am (Must be available for all shifts 1st, 2nd, and 3rd)

Position Overview

H.B. Fuller is seeking a General Laborer to support daily housekeeping and maintenance activities within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing routine cleaning, equipment upkeep, and light assembly tasks. The position reports to the Mixing Production Supervisor and contributes to overall plant efficiency and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including dust control, trash disposal, and spill clean-up

• Operate powered floor sweeper and scrubber

• Maintain inventory of cleaning tools and supplies

• Assist with non-technical assembly and furniture relocation

• Support snow removal and grounds maintenance

• Monitor trash compactors and dumpsters

• Operate forklift and other powered equipment

• Identify and report housekeeping concerns to supervisors

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to work any shift

• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)

• Ability to read and follow work orders and safety procedures

Preferred Requirements

• 1+ year experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

• Basic English comprehension

• Experience with powered cleaning or landscaping equipment

• Familiarity with workplace safety practices

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $18.36/hr.
