The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis of manufacturing operations, including COGS, labor, and overhead variances.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for management, highlighting key performance indicators.
• Analyze capital expenditure requests, performing ROI and payback period assessments for new equipment or projects.
• Perform profitability analysis by product line, customer segment, or manufacturing plant to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels and valuation, identifying potential obsolescence or efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and efficiency gains in production processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Proficiency in cost accounting principles and their application in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for financial and operational data.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing KPIs, production costs, and supply chain impacts.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for operational reporting.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
