Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Westland, MI, supporting students from Kindergarten through 12th grade within a K-12 school setting. This position spans the full school year and primarily involves working on-site across three school buildings, with most caseload responsibilities focused on grades K-3.
Key responsibilities include evaluating students, conducting reevaluations for those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and delivering speech therapy services tailored to individual student needs. Familiarity with the EdPlan system is essential for managing evaluations and therapy documentation effectively.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably in school settings
- Completion or current enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Proven ability to work with students across multiple grade levels, especially early elementary K-3
- Strong knowledge of special education processes and IEPs
