Maintenance TechnicianM. Shapiro Real Estate Group is seeking a full-time Property Maintenance Crew Member to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining residential communities. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-service oriented, and able to work independently while supporting the onsite management team.Position SummaryThe Property Maintenance Crew Member is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of the community. This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair, landscaping, and renovation tasks while responding to resident and management requests in a timely and professional manner.Job Duties•\tPerform general electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.•\tTroubleshoot and complete heating and cooling maintenance and repairs.•\tComplete general building and grounds maintenance.•\tMow, trim, edge, weed, and maintain landscaped areas.•\tMulch flower beds and perform seasonal landscaping.•\tRemove leaves and maintain community cleanliness.•\tSafely operate and maintain lawn equipment, including mowers, weed trimmers, and leaf blowers.•\tRespond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency service requests.•\tRepair buildings, structures, and community equipment.•\tAssist with the renovation and remodeling of homes.•\tMaintain records of scheduled maintenance and completed repairs.•\tParticipate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.•\tSupport onsite management and maintenance staff with various operational tasks.•\tPerform other duties as assigned.Preferred Skills•\tKnowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.•\tExperience operating landscaping equipment.•\tStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.•\tExcellent organizational and time management skills.•\tAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.•\tStrong communication and customer service skills.•\tDependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.•\tWillingness to learn and assist with a variety of maintenance and operational responsibilities.Job Requirements•\t2 years of maintenance experience preferred.•\tHigh school diploma or GED required.•\tValid driver's license with a clean driving record.•\tReliable transportation.•\tAbility to pass a background check.•\tAuthorized to work in the United States.•\tAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.•\tAbility to work independently with minimal supervision. $18.00 - $24.00 Hourly
