Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, components, and assemblies for manufacturing.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate concepts and performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs and specifications.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product reliability, cost, and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for part and assembly design.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and stress analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) across various manufacturing processes.
• Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to technical drawings.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validating designs.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing designs for performance, cost, and production efficiency.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation software.
• Demonstrated understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining, or fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
