Our client, a healthcare organization dedicated to supporting the academic community, is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join their team. As a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, you will be supporting the medical team at the University of Michigan. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $23.00/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:00pm
What's the Job?
- Participate in prescription dispensing processes including patient profiling, preparing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals under supervision.
- Utilize pharmacy computer systems to manage prescription processes, including profiling and refilling orders.
- Respond to pharmacy telephone inquiries, addressing patient requests and concerns with professionalism and excellent communication skills.
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring appropriate stock levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Support third-party prescription insurance processes and handle pharmacy payments accurately.
What's Needed?
- Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in pharmacy or related fields.
- High School diploma or GED; additional advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proficiency in verbal communication, data entry, and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and clinical pharmacy procedures is preferred.
