JobsRUs.com is hiring for Maintenance Technicians for a large automotive parts manufacturing facility in Saline, MI.

**A State Journeyman license is required for this position.**

Responsibilities:
•Install, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities
•Analyze mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
•Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime
•Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, maintainability and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met
•Maintain good housekeeping standards and support 5S improvement activities as needed.
•Take part and improve effectiveness using FES tools: propose and implement continuous
productivity, process, and quality improvement actions for all facilities
•Escalate issues to Supervisor as necessary.
•Ensure proper application and follow all HSE procedures in the workplace, including the
•customer and company locations.
•Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records
•Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
•Follow requirements established in Saline Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
•Work overtime as necessary.
•Work flexibly to meet customer demands and needs.
•Act in accordance with the behaviors as established in the company’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
•Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company

Knowledge/Skills:

•At least 3 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
•Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require an
extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
•Electro-mechanics and automation skills
•Print reading ability for core proficiency (Electrician or Mechanic)
•Working knowledge of Quality system and Health, Safety and Environment skills
•Strong technical problem-solving skills
•Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to work in a matrix organization
•Proficient level of English required
•Ability to operate mills and lathes as well as weld and fabricate
•Knowledgeable in NFPA 70E arc flash requirements
•Shift preference determined by seniority, must be willing to work off shift (non-day shift)
