Tax Partner, CPA, Petoskey
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the tax team, offering guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality, accurate work.
- Take ownership of a personal book of business, cultivating client relationships and contributing to the firm’s growth.
- Oversee and execute tax preparation and planning for individuals, businesses, and nonprofits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Review complex tax returns and offer strategic guidance on tax-related matters.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service, addressing their unique needs, and providing proactive solutions.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the firm through business development, networking, and maintaining strong client connections.
- 10+ years of experience in tax preparation, tax consulting and leadership roles, in a CPA firm environment.
- Proven track record of managing a team and developing client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification required.
- Strong technical knowledge of tax law and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and serve clients.
- Must be able to work in-office and be actively engaged in the firm’s day-to-day operations.
