Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement daily lessons that align with the district's curriculum standards and meet the needs of all learners
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters social-emotional development and promotes a love of learning
• Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom happenings
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide events and initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
• Attend and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college or university
• Applicant must be Highly Qualified and Endorsed for this position with a Valid Michigan

• Experience working with young children, preferably in a kindergarten setting
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early childhood education

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Reports To: Building Principal

Salary: $47,877 - $88,689 based on experience and degree

Length of Contract: 185 days

Location: Mars Elementary

Start Date: August 24, 2026 first full day, with possible new staff orientation prior to start date
