Assembly Cell Operator - MULTIPLE SHIFTS

Join our dynamic production team as an Assembly Cell Operator! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe, quality-focused, and efficient operation of a press and banding tool within an assembly cell environment. Job Specifications

• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Location: Walker, MI
• Pay Rate: $18 - $19.50/hour
• Shifts Available for HIRE!
  • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:10 PM, Mon–Thurs (orientation at 7:30 AM) $19.00
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm–1:10am, Mon- Thurs (orientation at 2:00pm)- $19.50
  • Weekend: 5AM–5:30PM, Friday–Sunday (orientation at 7:30 AM) - $18.00

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate within an assembly cell to maintain consistent workflow and meet production targets.
• Keep completed assemblies and work areas organized and free of excess materials.
• Load completed assemblies onto pallets using engineered stacking methods for accuracy and stability.
• Create inventory tags (Router/WIP) as needed.
• Perform basic operations required at the assigned work cell.
• Procure batches and follow the priority schedule.
• Assemble packaging materials as required.
• Inspect parts and perform quality checks during the packing process.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Understand and comply with all job-related Quality Objectives, Quality System Policies, Procedures, and Instructions.
• Follow established instructions and quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the safety of self, team, and product from damage or injury.
• Properly set up dies following standardized set-up instructions.
• Ensure correct packaging and piece-counts on skids/containers.
• Accurately report production quantities into the MRP (AX) system.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production and quality recording, procedure manuals, and manufacturing work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and perform various physical tasks as required.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards is a plus.
