Harborview Medical Center – VASCULAR LAB has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator - Patient Scheduler .

WORK SCHEDULE

• FULL-TIME; 40 HOURS PER WEEK; 100% FTE

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Under general supervision and using designated UW and Medical Center processes and procedures, perform specialized clerical and technical duties to facilitate the delivery of patient care.
• Provide support service, e.g., process incoming referrals, schedule patient appointments, obtain and verify demographics and financial information through preregistration process.
• Complete patient registration by obtaining consent for medical care and financial agreement, process patient paperwork, coordinate care with other services, triage patient phone calls to clinical staff, and provide information about services.
• Responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the referral process of both the Vascular and TCD Labs.
• The referral process will address clinical triage and communicating with referring providers.
• Developing the workflow for the referral process, defining roles and responsibilities, developing forms and letters related to the referral process, and working with staff and physicians to support the process.
• Serve as the primary contact for accepting referrals to the Vascular and TCD Labs.
  
  

Required Position Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Preferred

One year of experience in a health care setting or three years of general office or community services or customer service experience.
