Controls Engineer
Job Description
Job Summary:
A large OEM is looking for a Controls Engineer with experience supporting automotive manufacturing environments through hands-on programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of FANUC robotic systems and Allen Bradley PLCs. They will provide plant-floor support for maintenance and production, including equipment troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and startup support. Works collaboratively across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams with a strong focus on safety, quality, and throughput improvement, and is comfortable supporting off shift and weekend production needs.
Responsibilities:

Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of the electrical and control aspects of equipment and tools required for the production of high-quality castings.

Existing program/site support Troubleshooting, diagnosis of equipment malfunctions ,etc.

Support the TIP (Throughput Improvement process) Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Ability to learn new skills, and coach / Mentor others on Control related issues, using a hands on approach.

Supports business team in Business Plan Deployment (BPD) process.

Knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance processes/procedures as well as quality control and environmental procedures is required.

Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all stakeholders.

Ability to work off shift, weekends as needed
Compensation Starting At: $32/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law

3+ years of experience working as a Controls Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment

Experience programming/troubleshooting FANUC robots
