Job Description
The Manager of Sales Proposals leads a team of writers within the Proposal department, supporting Prime’s Mid‑Market segment. The position coordinates cross‑functional efforts to respond strategically to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), improves the RFP process, creates high‑quality strategic proposals, and maintains Prime’s content database. The Manager also represents the proposal team in internal and external client strategy meetings.
Responsibilities
- Provide team direction, communicate roles and expectations, and hire and train staff as needed to reach business and client goals.
- Review proposals to identify obstacles and work with team members, subject matter experts, or sales to develop solutions.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end proposal process to ensure adherence, timeliness, and quality; manage large, complex projects based on team capacity.
- Leverage AI tools such as Copilot and responsive Loopio platforms to improve proposal workflow, quality, cycle time, and efficiency.
- Solve complex problems with broad business impact, translating and communicating sophisticated concepts to diverse audiences.
- Continuously assess proposal processes for effectiveness, promote company‑wide understanding through trainings, and maintain relationships with internal departments to enhance responses.
- Serve as liaison to Prime leadership for proposal status, participating in strategy and kick‑off meetings as needed.
- Build and manage relationships with proposal staff at Prime’s clients to develop and execute proposal processes for new and existing customers.
- Organize and facilitate meetings throughout the year with Sales and Client Engagement leadership to discuss strategy, goals, and process.
- Manage department budget, team structure, staffing, performance, and development, consistently demonstrating Prime’s leadership expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
- 6+ years of experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management proposals, sales planning and/or sales support.
- 1+ year of leadership/people management experience.
- Eligible to work in the United States without a need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Benefits and Compensation
Potential pay for this position ranges from 94,000.00 – 160,000.00 based on experience and skills.
