Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine appropriate welding processes.
• Operate various welding equipment (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal components according to specifications.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting metal to precise dimensions.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components based on engineering drawings.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in multiple welding processes, such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Additional AWS or specific material (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum) welding certifications.
• Proficiency in reading complex blueprints and performing basic fabrication and fitting.
• Experience with minor maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and weld inspection techniques.
