Position Overview:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Lead Professional Engineer to guide our Algonac operations and spearhead strategic growth initiatives. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape engineering operations, drive business development, and build a high-performance team while launching our new satellite office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering operations, production, and business development initiatives
• Manage complex civil engineering projects from conception to completion
• Build and mentor a growing engineering team
• Develop and maintain key client relationships
• Drive new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
• Provide technical guidance on municipal, infrastructure, and land development projects
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and quality standards
• Lead the establishment of our new satellite office in strategic location

Required Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
• Proven project management and client relations experience
• Strong leadership and team building capabilities
• Business development and sales experience preferred
• Experience with municipal projects, infrastructure, or land development
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and engineering software

Work Environment & Location:

Based in beautiful Algonac, MI with scenic Lake St. Clair views. We offer hybrid flexibility with required presence in Algonac several days per week. Potential satellite office location in New Baltimore, MI (closer to Detroit) provides additional flexibility for the right candidate.
